Missing Juvenile Located

On 02/15/2014 at approximately 8:19 P.M. members of the Middleton Police Department responded to a Middleton residence and learned of the possible abduction of a 16 year old female.

Based on information received, the US FBI office in Boston and Bedford, N.H. were notified. NH State Police were also requested.  Off duty personnel were called in and an intensive investigation was commenced.  Members of the Strafford County Attorney's Office were  notified and provided legal suport during the investigation.  Strafford County Dispatch Center provided a large amount support services during this critical event.

A command center was established at the Middleton Town Hall.  Police from Farmington and Milton provided investigative assistance.

At 10:44 PM. a press release was issued in regards to a Missing Juvenile.  This request was broadcast over our social media resources and quickly reached in excess of 25,000 people.

Based on information received from the public and investigative resources, the female was located in the City of Rochester at an undisclosed motel at 1:26 a.m.  The juvenile was located with the assistance of the Rochester NH police and the N.H. State Police.
The juvenile was transported to a local hospital for evaluation purposes which is standard procedure in these type of cases.

Police located a 26 year old person of interest.  At this point, no arrest has been made and police are determining what if any charges occurred.  At this point police are of the opinion that there is no public danger.


Because the child was located in the City of Rochester, they are now serving as the lead investigative agency.

At this point police are in the beginning stages of this investigation.  No further information is anticipated to be released in the near future.  However if developing information is available we will release it to members of the public and media.
