Police Pursuit and Large Police Presence

On today's date shortly before 1:30 a.m. Rochester Police responded to a residence that reported a Middleton Building Supply Box truck was in their yard and left when the homeowner began to approach.

A Rochester Police Officer Followed the truck and attempted to stop the truck for a motor vehicle violation, however the truck fled.  Rochester Police did not engage in a pursuit however, they advised Strafford County Dispatch that the truck was last seen on Route 16 near the Milton Line.

Milton Police units set up on Route 16 while Middleton Police headed toward Governor's Road in Middleton.  As Middleton Police attempted to stop the truck, the truck accelerated at speeds up to 75 MPH and the truck was pursued from Governor's Road to Middleton Building supply.

At Middleton Building Supply, the truck turned into the yard and drove around several buildings at a speed greater than 40 MPH.

The driver bailed out of the truck  where the Lumber yard meets Pinkham Road.  A perimeter was established with officers from Milton, Wakefield, Farmington, New Durham and NH State Police.

A K-9 track was conducted and the driver was not located.  Physical evidence was located which will enable the police to positively identify the driver.

The investigation is continuing and police expect to make an arrest once the forensic testing is complete.
